Tony Salant

Tony Salant was a founding partner of a food distribution company he and his partners grew from the ground to a multi-million dollar powerhouse.  After selling to an investment group, Tony knew he wanted to get back into "the game", and this time take his 30 years of experience and knowledge to the next level.  In 2012, Tony assembled his "Dream Team", and he, Maureen, and Michele joined forces to again get back to the basics, where it's all about the customer.  Tony and his wife, Liz, have 2 grown daughters, both in college and both avid golfers you might just see in the LPGA some day. Tony definitely has 6 degrees of separation from everyone in the food industry and is definitely one of the good guys.

As a Southern California native, Michele enjoys sunshine, working out, being close to the ocean, and especially spending time with her husband, Brad, and her 2 boys. Between work and the baseball field, Michele is one busy mama!  She has nearly 20 years of experience in the Food Industry, working with correctional facilities and senior feeding nationwide. She believes in low prices and minimum, speedy delivery and excellent customer service. She is dedicated to servicing our customers and establishing long-term working relationships here at The Food Exchange. Michele is an intelligent, caring, sharp individual who would love the opportunity to help you with your future’s food purchasing need.

Maureen Richards

Maureen was born in California and has always been a "foodie". She earned a degree from U.C. Davis in Dietetics and comes from a long line of Italian cooking mamas. She loves sharing recipes and finding new ways to make ordinary recipes more nutritious or delicious. Now her passion is partnering with food banks to help them bring nutritious, delicious foods to ALL families. Through her 20+ year background in procurement and her heart to serve, our customers are enjoying savings and excellent service, leaving them to focus on the other aspects of their jobs. She is grateful to get to work in such an important, rewarding industry. Thank you so much for allowing us to be a small part.

Meghan Haff

Meghan is a born and raised Southern California girl. She is an avid concertgoer and travel adventurist. Meghan attended culinary school at The Art Institute of California - San Diego and has been working in the Food Industry for over 12 years. She has spent the last 5 years working with nonprofits and correctional facilities nationwide, and has a vast knowledge of customer needs in various parts of the country. Meghan believes in providing quality product at prices that make sense, and in building lasting connections that reciprocate inspiration. She feels fortunate to have made such great relationships in this industry and looks forward to her future at TFX.

Garrett Hart

Garrett Hart is a native to San Diego and enjoys the sunshine on the beach. He achieved a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice Administration from the Arizona State University. When he is not working hard to bring the best value to his customers, you can catch him at the gym lifting weights, or riding his beach cruiser down the board walk. Through passion for business Garrett has previous successful entrepreneurship endeavors. From nutritional companies to e-commerce, he won’t stop until the job gets done to the best of his ability!

Danielle Campbell

Danielle teamed up with Michelle in 2012, bringing with her years of experience in office management and customer service experience. Having been Michele's assistant in their past endeavor made it an easy decision and smooth transition for Danielle to join The Food Exchange team. Danielle's vast experience and knowledge, combined with her relationship with Tony, Maureen and Michele, and knowing how they all work allows her to keep the day to day operations running smoothly.

Monica DeSantiago

Monica DeSantiago was born and raised in sunny San Diego, California. She has trained to perform highly in different fields such as finance and accounting, customer service, payroll, event organization, human resources, purchasing, sales, logistics and non-profit and government support. Her dedication is what sets her apart from anybody else. She has lived, worked and traveled nationally and abroad to places such as North Carolina, Georgia, Japan and the Philippines. Monica is passionate about art, architecture and interior design. She loves days at the beach and spending time with family and friends! She is a well-rounded individual who lives with passion, dedication, and grace. It not only shows in her personal life, but in her professional one as well.

Shaine Lane

Shaine was born and raised in Long Beach CA. She moved here to Sunny San Diego in 2009. On the weekends, you will find Shaine out in the desert "glamping" and riding her Banshee in the sand dunes! Shaine has been in the food industry for 5 years and has joined our logistics team in late 2017. Shaine has a passion for customer service, and her ability to build strong, long-lasting relationships with our carriers and vendors has proven her enthusiasm in the company! We are excited to have her on our team and can't wait to see what the future holds for her at The Food Exchange.

Liz Salant

After raising her two daughters, Liz became an important part of our team. Always seeing herself as a “people person” she works directly with customer relations through our finance department. She also brings over 30 years of photographic knowledge to help develop and design our product line. Besides her passion for her family, volunteering, and photography, you will find Liz riding her 700 lbs Harley Davidson Softail Deluxe throughout the backroads of San Diego.

Andy Brown

Andy is a straight-forward guy with an affection for rootbeer, lasagna, truffles, and on time truckers. His logistics career started in 2002, working at an air freight terminal and came to work with us in 2013, where he hit the ground running. He now manages all of our freight and logistics coordination along with Michele’s husband, Brad. Andy’s hobbies include flying, working on computers, and sword-fighting, both locally and at national conventions. He’s also a newlywed, who was just married to his longtime girlfriend and archeress, Rose. Andy quickly became our “go to” guy because of his helpful nature and his innate knowledge of how things work. The Food Exchange Is really lucky to have him! 

Jessica Vanoni

A 3rd generation Southern Californian native, Jessica is passionate about sharing her family's food and cultural traditions with her husband and their 2 daughters. Jessica loves spending time with family and friends – entertaining, playing trivia, traveling and volunteering with her daughters' Girl Scout troop and school recycling program. Since 1996 she's enjoyed developing opportunities that create solutions for foodservice customers and manufacturing partners alike.

Lydia Gable

Lydia Gable is an Account Executive who joined TFX with a passion for collaborating with customers as a trusted resource, deal finder, and problem solver. She's also known for her love of self-help books, is crazy about her baby daughters, exercise, Sauvignon Blanc and vacation.
